The Ethical Dilemma
The FBI has many duties to comply with, their mission is to protect, and defend the United States against any type of terrorism, whether is foreign or domestic, to find anyone who has already attempted to damage the state holding them accountable for any harm. To uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and provides leadership and criminal justice to state, municipal, federal, and international agencies and partners.
Although, the FBI represents the biggest justice entity, after years of investigation and more people coming out placing complaints, now they are having their own criminal issues, and they are not being fair with the people who were assaulted in the harassment cases by not applying their own policy on their own agents.
The key ethical dilemma of the case is the abuse of power that members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) used to get away with their own crime. Several cases have been brought up to the light, but this entity is choosing to maintain it covered as much as possible because it can ruin their reputation as the "worldwide number one investigation office" why are they so eager now that everything came out to give green light to agents that do not deserve to continue working, giving early retiring with full benefits, or placing them in other workplaces without any repercussions for what they have done.? Should the Office of Inspector General (OIG) be more involved in finding a better solution, like replacing all personnel that are playing a big role in covering things up, like one of the victims, said during her interview: "...is sweeping it under the rug."
This ethical dilemma can be analyzed using several ethical systems to bring sensitivity and method to the human task of decision making.
