You have recently joined InstaObjekt Inc in the Supply Chain Strategist role. Overall your company is doing quite well, but you often go through periods of low capacity utilization followed by a production ramp up and added shifts. While all of this is normally blamed on market demand and the condition of the economy, you have your doubts. Looking back at sales and production over the last few years you observe that the sales are more stable than production. Vice President of Supply Chain Department has tasked you to determine why this might be, and what you can do about it. You will build and simulate a simple system dynamics model to capture the current state of affairs.
