Instruction to student: Referring to the data...

Instruction to student: Referring to the data "Stat330_2011s_roster.xls", draw a simple random sample of size 20 from the students with full attendance (Attendance score = 1), and the students with less attendance (Attendance score = 0), respectively

-1. For each obtained sample, report the sample mean and standard deviation of exam 2 scores, respectively.

-2. Let 0 be the mean score of all the students in class with less attendance in exam 2, and 1 be the mean score of all the students in class with full attendance in exam 2. Construct the 95% CI for 1 - 0. (Show your work! You are advised to do this problem by hand first and check your answer with JMP afterwards.)

-3. At significance level =0.05, run a statistical hypothesis test to find out whether or not full attendance helps pop up student's exam 2 score. Be sure to state the hypotheses, and write down the test statistic (the formula), test score, critical value, p-value. What is your conclusion in the context of this case? (Use JMP to solve this problem and show the output.)

4-Test if the proportion of male students in your lab is greater than the proportion of female students in your lab.Use alpha=0.05
