Instructions for revising your paper 1. Use the feedback from the teaching assistants to improve your paper. 2. Make sure it is clear that the arrest rate is per 10,000 person-years. 3. Discuss the issue of measurement error for Age and self-reported Drinking. a) This should identify the kind of measurement error that is likely to be present for each. b) You should also discuss the potential implications of the measurement error for biasing your estimates. c) The data section (and possibly also the conclusion) are appropriate places to acknowledge these measurement issues and to discuss their implications for your estimates. d) Please consult your lesson notes to make sure you are discussing this issue appropriately. 4. Update the standard errors in your tables to reflect the possibility of heteroscedasticity. a) You should mention that you are using robust standard errors both in the empirical methods section of your paper and in the table notes for each table where they are used. b) Note that correcting the standard errors could alter your statistical significance and thus you may need to update language discussing significance appropriately. c) Please consult your lesson notes to make sure you are discussing this issue appropriately
