The following are questions that may help you craft your response, but are not meant to constrain your thinking. If you finished the podcast and already had ideas about what you'd heard, by all means, write about those! -The episode presents the idea of UBI as a potential solution to the increasing problem of wage stagnation and job elimination, largely as a result of increasing technological automation. How convinced are you that increasing wage stagnation and job elimination are a pressing societal concern, and how persuaded are you that UBI may be a viable solution in the (near or distant) future? -The episode raises the question of whether, if all people are given a basic income that covers their needs, they will stop engaging in productive work and lose a key sense of meaning in their lives. Two of the guests on the episode are relatively optimistic about this, with one citing historical examples of productive people who did not 'need' to work, and the other stating that if only 10% of people work and do great things, it's a net win for society.
