In Tucson, AZ we do not have lawns that need to be mowed, but we usually have gravel or ornamental rocks in the yard. I am convinced that the average weight of these ornamental rocks is 17 grams. Use hypothesis testing to prove me right or wrong. Collect 35 rocks out of your yard/area, weigh them on a food scale and do the math to determine if I am write or wrong. You alpha (a) = 0.03

(Note, be smart about this. Your z-table only goes up to 3 sigma. If you collect rocks that weigh 100 grams each, you are going to blow past the values in your table and you will not be able to complete this).
