Instructions Put together a LIST of FOUR SOURCES related to the work of art you have chosen. The sources you choose can provide information on the artwork itself, on its narrative, themes, symbolism, artist, and any relevant points related to its historical and art historical context. You will be using these sources when you write the Research Essay for this course (your final paper). All four sources must be acceptable academic sources.o Please see the next page of this document for information on selecting sources. The sources must be presented will full citation information, as it would appear on a Works Cited page using MLA style. This includes all the relevant publication information such as the author(s), title, publication date, etc. You need to list your sources in alphabetical order (do NOT number your sources). You need to use correct formatting (e.g., italics for book titles, indentation on all lines after the first line, etc.) See page 3 of this document for guidelines on how to cite different types of sources (articles, databases, websites, videos, etc.) You will be graded on the quality of your sources (non-academic sources will receive an automatic zero) and on the correct presentation of citation information using the MLA style (all information and formatting must be correct in order to earn full points). Please note that while you will be permitted to use lecture notes and assigned course readings foryour final research essay, these sources will NOT be counted towards the minimum number ofsources required for this assignment. 2 INFORMATION ABOUT CHOOSING SOURCES Your four sources MUST be acceptable, academic sources.
