1. It's hard to choose just one dish with all the good food that is out there. My favorite dish I would have to say is Chile Colorado con Nopales y Costillas de Puerco (Red Chili with Cactus and Pork Ribs). The ingredients to use are:

  • 1 to 2 pounds of cut pork ribs
  • 1/2lb of cut nopales
  • 3-4 pieces of Chile Guajillo
  • 3-4 pieces of Chile Puya
  • 3-4 pieces of Chile California
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 2tsp of Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 tsp of Garlic Salt

First, you place the pork ribs in the pot with hot water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Add the garlic cloves, 1 tsp of the chicken bouillon, and 1 tsp of garlic salt to the pot with the ribs. While that begins to boil, you also place the nopales in a separate pot with hot water on the stove on high. For the third pot of hot water, you are going to add all the chiles (guajillo, puya, and California) and boil them until they are soft. The high heat of all three pots makes the water hot causing them to boil. After a few minutes, take the ribs out of the water and place them in another pot with oil. While the ribs are in the pot frying, make sure to take the chiles out and place them in the blender, don't forget to add a little water as well. In the blender with the chile, you are also going to add more garlic cloves, and 1 tsp of chicken, then turn the blender on. Don't forget to also drain the water from the nopales as well. Make sure you are constantly moving the pork ribs in the pot, so they don't stick. Once everything is well blended, turn the blender off and strain the chile into the pan with the ribs. Now be careful because once you pour the chile into the pan, the oil will pop. Once all the chile sauce is in the pot, you can add the nopales. After adding everything together, bring it to a simmer and give it a taste test. At this point, you may add else if needed. In this recipe, the reactions that were created were combustion, combination, and single-replacement.

2.Recipe for Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients for chicken - 16 ounces of dry fettuccine pasta - 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 1 tsp Italian seasoning - teaspoon of Himalayan salt - teaspoon of pepper - 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil - 1 tablespoon of butter

Ingredients for sauce - cup of butter - 2 cups of heavy whipping cream - 1 clove of garlic (minced) - teaspoon of garlic powder - teaspoon of Italian seasoning - teaspoon of Himalayan salt - teaspoon pf pepper - 2 cups of freshly grated parmesan cheese

A combination reaction in chemistry is a reaction in which two reactants combine to form one product. The ingredients for this recipe cause a combination reaction by taking two separate parts, the chicken being one and Alfredo sauce being another and making them into one dish.

3.Overall I think that this image shows the fallacy of choice. I believe this because not one person is the same, we all are different. And we all have our own opinions on a subject. Although I believe, trust, and love God, there are other people who have their own gods and idols they worship and give credence too also. From this visual I inferred that fallacy of choice is being played because two completely dissimilar individuals are what it looks like, arguing on the topic God is not dead.

4.This graphic (editorial cartoon) is an example of hasty generalization, a logical fallacy related to logos. Hasty generalization is forming conclusions based on inadequate evidence. While it may be true that people died of cancer before cigarettes were invented, it is, however, false to assume that cigarettes don't cause cancer. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "Cigarette smoking can cause cancer almost anywhere in the body. Cigarette smoking causes cancer of the mouth and throat, esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, voice box (larynx), trachea, bronchus, kidney, and renal pelvis, urinary bladder, and cervix, and causes acute myeloid leukemia." Numerous risk factors have been identified through research that could raise the risk of developing lung cancer. When compared to non-smokers, smokers have a 15 to 30 times increased risk of developing lung cancer or dying from it. The risk of lung cancer is increased by both occasional and light cigarette smoking. The risk increases with the length of time and number of cigarettes smoked each day. Smokers who give up have a decreased risk of developing lung cancer than those who do not, but their risk is higher than those who never smoked. Smoking cessation at any age can reduce the risk of lung cancer. (CDC, 2021)
