Instructions : Think of two distinct but topographically similar stimuli. Describe how you would go about arranging a discrimination training procedure to teach an individual to accurately discriminate these stimuli. In your description, be sure to specify: 1. The specific stimuli that will be presented to the individual. 2. The modality in which the stimuli will be presented to the individual. 3. How many stimuli will be presented at a time. 4. What instructions will be presented to the individual. 5. What the individual will need to do to make a correct response. 6. What the individual will need to do to make an incorrect response. 7. What you will do if the individual responds correctly. 8. How and when you will provide any prompts to the individual. 9. How you will fade out the use of any prompts so that the individual is able to respond correctly without additional assistance. 10. How you will correct the individual if they respond incorrectly. 11. The performance criteria the individual must demonstrate to indicate that they have sufficiently learned the discrimination. To receive full credit for this activity, all of the items listed above must be described. Your selected stimuli do not need to be academic or clinical. If you can't think of any stimuli, you may completethis activity based on any of the following: Distinguishing between different types of wine by taste Distinguishing different types of bird songs by sound Distinguishing different perfume scents by smell Distinguishing different breeds of dogs by sight
