Integrative bargaining is essential in our professional and even personal lives since it generally delivers more reasonable conclusions for the parties involved than does positional kinds of bargaining. At the core of positional bargaining is fixed, opposing points of view, positions, and tends to result in compromising or no agreement at all. In most cases, compromises do not effectively fulfill the true interests of those in dispute. Instead, compromises basically split the difference between the two viewpoints, granting each side half of what they desire. Creative, integrative bargaining, on the other hand, can possibly offer everyone all of what they are seeking.
