Interobserver agreement reflects a comparison of two or more observers collecting observations while watching the client and addresses the extent to which the observers agree on what they record in the client's behavior.

Intraobserver consistency refers to the concordance of observations of a given observer over time when looking at the identicalsituation.

Reliability refers to the consistency of the measure or measurement procedure.

Validity refers to the content of the measure and wehter the measure assesses the domain of interest.

1. A client is performing a vocational task.The client's performance is measured by two separate observers, and their results are compared to assess consistency.

2. You are interested in knowing how much coffee is consumed by graduate students, so you stand outside a local university coffee shop and ask graduate students how much coffee they have consumed that day.

3. You and a colleague have designed a new hoverboard, you both want to make sure that your hover board is faster than other hoverboards, so you run an assessment in which each of you observe volunteers using your hoverboards. Both of you track the distance travelled and the amount of time it takes to travel, you then compare your respective results.

4. You measure a client's hair twirling behavior using a duration measure and record the session.Later, you watch the recording and record data on that same session again, comparing your data from the first observation, to the data on the recorded observation.
