Intro to statistics - Project C Inference for Means and Proportions For this project I have decided to test a hypothetical new drug suggesting that it could help patients lowering their total cholesterol setting up a random controlled trial to possibly find out how efficient is the drug and for this matter I chose to measure success using a group with a total of thirty participants which would be split as 15 individuals would received the new drug and the other 15 would receive a placebo. Each one of these individuals are instructed to take the drug for the total duration of 3 months. At the end of the 3 months each one of the participants will have their Lipid panel checked to validate or nullify the success or effect of the drug. So, the main question seeking an answer is; will the new drug prove to being successful and effective as hoped for or will it be a failure?
