Each Constitutional Compare or Contrast Challenge (CCCC) is an opportunity for you to explore and learn more about the subtle, yet important distinctions in the application of our constitutional rights. Due Process is a complex area of the law that provides numerous safeguards for other substantive rights.

Compare or contrast Brewer v. WilliamsLinks to an external site. and Welch v. ButlerLinks to an external site. (Pg. 234-235, 354) two SCOTUS opinions involving Due Process rights.

Directions

You will compare/contrast the two listed cases involving Due Process claims. To complete your CCCC Assignment, you must:

1. Use FIRAC to brief both cases (reference: Legal Heritage and the Digital Age Learning Unit).
2. Explain why you agree or disagree with each of the Court's rulings.
3. Although there isn't a specific length for this assignment to adequately summarize the cases using a FIRAC organization and explain your thoughts on both cases a minimum length should be one (1) to two (2) double-spaced pages with each paragraph containing five (5) to seven (7) sentences.
