Introduction- Our Company ABC Inc has been excellent in doing business for the past 20 years. We have been using the traditional fleet management and leasing trucks to deliver to the 3,900 stores across the United States. However, there is a sudden spike in sales in our hand sanitizers due to the pandemic COVID-19 and we cannot leave the stores and the hospitals short of sanitizers because we are unable to deliver them with the traditional supply chain management (SCM). The proposed change to effectively handle SCM and logistics is using the software based on visualized platform. The current computing software is inadequate for the size of business as we are forecasting the amount of sales of 20 years in just 10 days!
Benefits of Visualized Software- Using visualized technology software enables us to monitor the movement of the loads. We would be able to view where the load is currently with the help of real-time data used in this software. This helps to avoid supply chain issues such as delay in delivery and product damages. Additionally, we would be able to meet the spike in demand and assure our customers that we would be able to deliver the demanded quantity within the defined time lines in a strained supply chain like that of the current pandemic COVID-19.
Software and Technology- Visualized platform oriented software needs to be used along with cloud technology. Cloud technology helps to connect the carriers of our goods such as trucks, ships and carriers. We can obtain this cloud technology from Meg Tech Inc. as they are already our software partner. Then, this real-time information of cloud technology that connects the carriers of our loads can be fed into the visualized technology software. The users can then use this real-time data to view where the loads are and correct any supply chain issues instantaneously thus delivering the goods on-time.
