Introduction The main objective of this experiment is to study the relationship between mass, surface type and frictional force exerted on an object. This lab was made using buckets of nearly identical size and mass, but with different surfaces. The additional mass was added by placing weights inside of buckets. Objective Study how the force of friction changes with mass. Solve for the coefficient of kinetic friction between the device and the surface.
