Introduction to Wireshark

This lesson familiarizes the student with Wireshark, a network protocol analyzer. This tool allows students to capture and analyze network traffic in real$-$time, as well as opening saved network packet capture data for analysis after$-$the$-$fact. Most network incident response involves analyzing saved network traffic to determine whether, when, and how a specific device on the network might have been compromised.
