Invent a scenario in which you are investigating a sudden death scene..

This should take place in any room (perhaps a living room or bedroom) this can be within your home or

an imaginary place..

State the red flags and pink flags present at your scene

At this scene you are processing the crime scene for evidence as well as exhibits located within the scene.. There will be 10 exhibits seized from the scene for further analysis. This can include but is not limited to weapon(s) shell casings bullets drugs (both illicit or prescription) drink containers (alcoholic or otherwise) cigarette / joint butts clothing of victim or suspect cell phone(s) any item you feel may contain forensic evidence...(but only 10) You will state

a) how you would package the item

b) What analysis you would like done on the exhibit

c) where the item will be sent for that analysis

note that many items will go to more than one location for testing..

example is a hammer may go to the police lab for fingerprinting as well as to the CFS for handler profile DNA..

You will state what processes you would use at the scene...

(fingerprinting, footwear analysis, blood spatter expert)

you will identify the conditional evidence present at the time of your arrival

(weather, lights on/off, doors open/ closed, windows locked/unlocked etc...)

You will explain how you used the acronym C.O.R.E. in your crime scene processing (Control, Observe, Record, Evaluate)
