Iran Delays Cutting Subsidies for Gasoline Fuel

Inflation is around 10 percent and the unemployment rate is around 14 percent. Earlier Iran's auditing agency, during this month, condemned the government's plan to cancel subsidies on gasoline; and warning that the implementation of such changes could result in riots. The government is also committed to canceling subsidies on natural gas, which most Iranians use to cook and heat food; as with electricity; but the new price is still unknown. However, in recent weeks, several households have received electricity bills at prices that have increased nearly seven times as much.
