Organizational Context

There are many structural and organizational guidelines to work within the field of project management. All of them have complex theories, practical guidelines, and/or best practices to emulate. Unfortunately, organizations don't come with a (this is who we are) document, so, navigating the political, organization and psychological context of an organization is complicated.

Please read both articles (Davis & Powell and Weick & Quinn) in Classes.

Based on our readings thus far from the text plus the additional reading on the organizational environment & change, discuss key points on the importance of understanding the organization.

In your own words, summarize the pro's and con's in the context of project management and cite as needed the text, the readings, and any additional research you find on organizational change.
