Is a coin toss fair?I've had students that research it and find out that the heads side of the coin is heavier by a decimal percentage.Therefore they say that there is a higher chance of flipping a heads.Have you read anything like this?We did an experiment with flipping a cup whether it lands on the bottom or the side.Do you think this is 50/50?It was a fun experiment to do with students and examine experimental versus theoretical probability.How would this benefit students?
