Is it in our judicial system's best interest to eliminate life tenure?

Let's assume that we moved to a 15 year position.That federal judge would need to find employment after their 15 year position in the federal courts.Two likely scenarios is that they would join a law firm or become a lobbyist.From the chart below, we can see that about 50% of former members of Congress become lobbyists.This is a revolving door between Congress and interest groups that hire lobbyists.It is not uncommon that members of Congress retiring will promote legislation that is in the best interest of some of the interest groups that will later hire them as lobbyists.

Let's assume that a federal judge is close to completing that 15 year position.How will this influence their decisions with cases making it to their court?I am not stating that they would deliberately interpret a law to benefit an interest group that might hire them later or a law firm representing a litigant in their court room, but subconsciously it can alter the views of a judge.This already exists with retiring members of Congress.Can we risk this taking place with our judicial system?
