They differ in strategic orientation, opportunity commitment, control and commitment of resources, management structure, reward philosophy, growth orientation and culture. The differences can be so stark as to wonder if they can ever be mixed. How can a large corporation that is run using a managerial decision making process ever encourage its managers to endorse and practice entrepreneurial management? In one, risk is encouraged and in the other risk is dangerous if it fails. Read about theses differences in chapter 2 and then consider and answer these questions.
