Isaac Newton discovered that a simple "law" of gravity could explain the orbits of the Moon around Earth, comets and and planets around the Sun, as well as how objects fall when released near Earth's surface. Newton's description of gravity requires that we determine a value of "G" experimentally - we cannot predict it from first principles - and with that we can reduce the complexity of gravity and motion to a simple set of equations. Soon after his discovery, other physicists realized there were forces and laws describing electrical interactions. Compare and distinguish the forces due to electrical charge to the force we call gravity. What is the implication of us not being able to predict the value of G, or the constants of electricity and magnetism and having to accept them as "universal constants"? Please explain your answer.
