For example: In this assessment, an explanation of the concept of wellness and wellbeing, including the definition and two theoretical perspectives will be examined to further explain wellness and wellbeing. Alongside this, the dimensions of wellness and wellbeing, and three determinants that impact and influence wellness and wellbeing will be discussed. Following this, this assessment will discuss why early childhood educators need to consider this concept in terms of young children, and why it is important for young children’s play and learning. Finally, this assessment will discuss the importance of wellness and wellbeing for educators, both as a right for themselves, and as well to be able to professionally support young children.  Paragraph 1: Outline your understanding of the concept of wellness and wellbeing, including two theoretical perspectives, the dimensions, and the determinants of wellness and wellbeing (include 3 of the 5 determinants that impact wellness and wellbeing - that is, biological, environmental, social, cultural, and equity. Make sure you refer to Module 1 and Module 2 content and subject readings.  Paragraph 2: Why wellness and wellbeing are important for children.  Paragraph 3: Why wellness and wellbeing are important for educators. Note: Refer to BOTH the Early Years Learning Framework [EYLF] and the National Quality Standards [NQS] documents for Paragraphs 2 and 3. 3. Pull together all the points you have discussed, offering a final opinion on the mini-assessment task that relates to these. For example,- In summary, the concept of wellness and wellbeing have been explained, alongside the relevant theoretical perspectives, and the dimensions, and the determinants that impact wellness and wellbeing have been discussed. The reasons why these concepts are significant for both children and educators in the early years have been outlined, and curriculum documents have been drawn upon, where appropriate. Without a robust foundation of wellness and wellbeing in the early years setting, it is clear that both children and educators might be compromised and therefore unable to fulfill their potential as learners and professionals respectively.
