It is desired to configure a telescope for astronomical observations. A 3.5 inch di- ameter, 1300 mm focal length, f/14.4 Questar brand Maksutov catadioptric telescope is available. It may be used with either of two eyepieces that have specfications as follows: 1) a 26 mm focal length Koenig eyepiece with an apparent field-of-view of 50 or 2) a 12 mm focal length Erfle wide-field eyepiece with an apparent field-of-view of 75. The apparent field-of-view is the full apex angle of the light exiting the eyepiece as seen by the human observer
