It is desired to design a standard stirred tank to disperse hydrogen in a suspension of powdered platinum black particles in palm oil to carry out hydrogenation of unsaturated bonds. It is estimated that the platinum black suspension should occupy 95% of the height of the liquid. Platinum black has a particle size equivalent to 100 mesh. The total mass of platinum black used is 10% of the mass of oil in the tank. Hydrogen is fed to the reactor at a rate such that it is at conditions corresponding to 90% of the redispersion point. The absolute pressure in the reactor is atmospheric and the temperature is 50 C. To achieve both purposes, to suspend the solid and disperse the gas, a turbine with 6 inclined blades with a size equal to 40% of the diameter of the tank will be used. In each batch, 5000 L of oil must be hydrogenated. The density of platinum black is 21,450 kg/m3 and that of palm oil is 919 kg/m3. The viscosity of palm oil is 1.8x10-2 Pa*s. Determine:

a- All the dimensions of the tank and the agitator, in meters. b. The power of the motor, knowing that it has an efficiency of 60%. c. Power consumed in full operation (with the presence of hydrogen). d. hydrogen flow.
