It is justifiable that the corporate veil can be lifted when the company is used for fraudulent or dishonest purposes. Nobody disagrees with that. The Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), however, also lifts the corporate veil and makes a company director liable for insolvent trading irrespective of fraud or dishonesty.
