It is required to separate the benzene contained in a mixture by means of an extraction process, whose composition is 70% benzene and the rest of a mixture of paraphyric hydrocarbons and naphthalenes, using liquid sulfur dioxide for this purpose. It is known that when 3 pounds of Sulfur Dioxide are used for every pound of feed from the process, a refined current is obtained that contains 16.666% of Sulfur Dioxide and the remainder of benzene. The extract stream contains all ingredients that are not Benzene, some Sulfur Dioxide and about benzene for every pound of hydrocarbons other than benzene. Determine the fluxes of each of the streams in the system.
