Italy is largest the largest producer and exporter of wine regardless of the recent trend which saw it drop in the last year. This wine has been produced for over 4000 years now. This industry has been affected by different factors.

Factors of the Italian Wine industry

1. Productivity

The success of this industry can be attributed to among other factors the availability of grapes that are grown largely within the country. This has made productivity increase considering the high profits made from the export of this wine to different countries.

2. Geography

Italy is a long stretch of land, with a 10 degree difference in latitude, many hills and mountainous areas, and is surrounded by the sea, so the characteristics of wine are strong and diverse by region.
