This is an excellent opportunity to show the trainees what is expected when filling in these types of documents. You've been appointed their mentor to show them how to take self-assessment data and use it to inform a QIP. Carol has requested that you put together an example of how to take information from self-assessment, identify strengths and area/s for improvement, convert this into an action plan, which then informs a QIP. She has asked that you provide trainees with a 'best practice' example of communication in documenting and recording in these tools. By that, she means: - Keeping language simple, succinct and easy for all stakeholders to understand - Being able to interpret the language of the National Quality Standards (NQS) into practice statements - Being factual and objective, considering privacy and confidentiality
