It's early January 2003, and you've been working for a fast food restaurant company for the past year. Your company is planning for a major promotional campaign with dramatically reduced prices for several of your key products in a major metropolitan market. You have been asked to analyze past demand patterns and project demand for the signature sandwich, the Whopper, under several price scenarios. Based on discussions with your boss, Matt Bombyk, you've used sales records to assemble a data set that includes daily data on the number of Whopper, Chicken, and Jr. Whopper sandwiches sold (WhopQ. ChickQ, and WhopJrQ) and average daily prices for the Whopper, Chicken Sandwich, and the Jr. Whopper.(WhopP, Chick, and WhopJrP). The average daily prices differ slightly from posted prices because some customers redeem coupons or receive discounts for other reasons. The data set for your analysis is available in electronic form in an Excel worksheet named APEC 3002 Lab 04519.xlsx. Note that there are data under two tabs. Two observations - for Thanksgiving and Christmas - have been deleted from the reduced data set because there is so little demand on those days
