Jackie Robinson West is the name of a Little League team from Chicago. In 2014, the team won the U.S. championship title game against the Mountain Ridge Little League from Las Vegas. Not long after the win, information from a credible source revealed that the winning team's organizers violated Little League rules. The team leaders inappropriately added players who live outside the district. The team's manager and district administrator were deemed responsible for what happened and were subsequently fired for falsifying documents and illegally expanding the boundaries to include players who were not eligible. The president and CEO of the Little League International made the decision to take away the title from the Chicago team and to give it to the Las Vegas team.
