James is struggling to make ends meet and decides that he can no longer afford to feed himself without turning to crime.He decides that as supermarkets make millions in profits each year it would not be morally wrong to take a few extra items for free from the shelf when he does his weekly shop. He visits the local Savers and uses the self scan machine - he puts his normal weekly shop in but adds a loaf of bread, some ham and some cheese (to supplement his food which does not really provide enough for him to live on). He places the items at the bottom of a bag and puts his normal shopping on top. After checking out he is approached by a security guard in the car park who saw James acting suspicious on the camera (by putting the items at the bottom).
