Jan Klabbers has been highly critical of the concept of 'soft law', stating that 'by creating uncertainty at the edges of legal thinking, the concept of soft law contributes to the crumbling of the entire legal system. Once political or moral concerns are allowed to creep back into the law, the law loses its relative autonomy from politics or morality and therewith becomes a fig leaf for power'. Do you agree?
