People coworkers neighbors, strangers at the grocery store hear Janas accent and ask her where she is from. When she tells them Slovakia, many have never heard of the country and ask if there is a war there. Some people have asked her if she is a refugee and have offered her money. Others have asked if she is a nanny, like those other girls from eastern Europe. A few have asked if she is okay and if anyone is forcing her to do anything, hinting that she might be a sex slave! This is all making Jana very angry. There are also people who hear her accent and say, Oh youre Russian! We have many Russian people here. That is also hard for Jana to handle.
