Jared Loughner pleaded guilty to 19 charges of murder and attempted murder in the Arizona case in which U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords was shot during a "meet and greet" with her constituents in January 2011. Six people were killed in the incident. Loughner was initially found incompetent to stand trial and was hospitalized and treated with antipsychotic medication against his will. He was then brought back to court and found competent. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole. In your opinion, should people be forcibly medicated in order to be made competent? Does the government have the right to medicate an individual in order to be able to prosecute them
