Jaymee Millett late partents If I was the employee who was showing these parent's our center, and they told me they would be late due to their shifts, I would review with them our hours. I would also tell them about the policy for being late and the fees that go along with this. Then I would also state that after 3 late pick ups we would then need the children picked up by 5 PM. I would explain the staffing/ratio policies that are in place and that also our staff members work till 6 as well so they can get home to their families. If this really seemed like our operating time would not work out, I may inform the parent's in a kind way of nearby centers with longer hours. Not that I would want to push them away from my center, just that it may not be a good fit for the parent's hours
