Jeannie and Joanne are roommates. They share all expenses equally. However, Jeannie does not always pay her share of the utilities. To maintain the electricity, Joanne has paid a large percentage of the bill for the past six months. Jeannie tells Joanne that she has a large paycheck coming that will be direct-deposited on Tuesday. When it is, she will make an online transfer to Joanne's account at the same bank and repay all she owes, before moving out the following weekend. About 11:00 pm on Monday, Joanne wakes up to find Jeannie packing her things in her car several days ahead of her scheduled move. Joanne offers to help Jeannie carry out a particularly heavy box. Once back inside, Joanne locks the door and threatens Jeannie if she attempts to leave or call anyone before she transfers the money on Tuesday. Tuesday morning, Jeannie makes the transfer and Joanne allows her to leave.
Assuming the same situation except that rather than locking Jeannie in the house, Joanne knocks Jeannie to the ground and kicks her several times. She says the beating will continue unless Jeannie comes inside and waits to make the transfer as soon as the funds are in her account. What intentional tort was committed?
