Jensen went to Computer Guys store to buy a personal computer so he could process his large collection of digital photos. Pearsall, the owner of the store, quickly sensed that Jensen did not know much about computers and also recognized that Jensen was unfamiliar with how much memory would be necessary to run most available photo-processing software packages. In response to Jensens questions about the memory of a particular model, Pearsall assured him that the model would accommodate any software on the market and any likely to be developed in the foreseeable future. Jensen, relying of Pearsalls assurances, bought the model that was recommended. To his dismay, Jensen quickly discovered that the memory was inadequate for many popular photo-processing software programs.
