He visits the website of Print-it Ltd, a large retailer that specialises in printers and office supplies. He often purchases from their website as Jeremy knows that Print-it Ltd have the cheapest products online. He selects the printer he wants and puts it into his online basket. He completes the checkout and is then emailed a receipt. The receipt contains the following clause: "In respect of defective products, the liability of Print-it Ltd shall be limited to the cost of repairing the product, and only providing that the fault is reported within 24 hours from the date of receipt of the product." This clause also appears in the delivery note that arrives with the printer. Deliveries from Print-it Ltd always contain the same clause in the delivery note, and the delivery note is always provided with every delivery.
