Jim is a well trusted software engineer employed at D.K company. He has been working for the company for 18 years. In that capacity, Jim attended many conferences to market the company's new software and learn about competition offering and the state-of-the-art technology. Recently, Jim scheduled a trip to California to attend a 5-days conference in an ocean front resort. Jim took his family and booked a suite to accommodate all four members of his family. Upon his return, he submitted an expense report for the family hotel stay and food and requested reimbursement from his supervisor claiming that the costs incurred were for business purposes. The organization issued a check, reimbursing the employee for his expenses. A month or so later, while his supervisor was on vacation, he submitted a second proof of payment consisting of a credit card statement to a different supervisor who, unaware of Jim's previous expense report, went ahead and reimbursed Jim. 1.
