John, a 17 year-old student who looks much older than he is, walks into his local caf and orders $500 worth of food for a party. The caf owner who has seen John before as a regular customer whohas bought coffees in his shop, is happy to provide the catering, taking a 10% deposit which John pays. It is agreed the balance will be paid within ten days after the party. The food is duly delivered and consumed. In spite of a bill being sent to him and reminders, John refuses to pay.
