John is a big fan of the Buffalo Chicken Wing. Buffalo is the proud hometown of the Buffalo Bills (John's favourite football team), as well as the 'The Anchorbar', the restaurant that invented the famous Buffalo Chicken Wing. A few years ago John opened up a restaurant and named it 'The Anchorbar 2Point0' as an ode to one of his favourite restaurants.
Last Thursday, a lawyer for the Anchorbar (in Buffalo) contacted John. The lawyer demanded that since many Buffalonians (people from Buffalo) visit Toronto, that John remove all signs and reference to The Anchorbar on the menus, placemats, glassware, marketing material, and urinal cakes within 48 hours. If John does not comply the lawyer file a lawsuit and sue John. Not only that! John's suppliers have been in partnership with John because they thought he was affiliated with The Anchorbar in Buffalo!
Needless to say, John is in trouble. What violations and course of action (if any) does John have if he wishes to stay in business?
