Josie, a 16-year-old, loves to party. Unfortunately, she does not know how to handle alcohol. Every time she consumes alcohol, she never remembers what happened after her fourth beer. One morning, she wakes up after a crazy night out at her favorite nightclub, the Taillies. She woke up that morning with two small puppies in her apartment, her phone inside a bowl of jelly in the fridge and her friend Melanie fast asleep in her bathtub. Andre, one of their friends told her that she had sold her Toyota to a random man she met at the club for R20. According to Andre, she jokingly offered the car to the stranger for R20, which he accepted. She is very upset and comes to you for help.
Explain to her the reasons a contract can be void for lack of consensus, specifically the offer to sell the car for R20 and contractual capacity. Advise her whether she can rely on any of them in this situation.
