(Throughout this project I have learnt the importance of raising awareness and advocacy to vulnerable groups. It is one thing to say you are nonjudgmental and supportive, it is another to actively support a community and help champion their rights. I have learnt that the challenges for people that are struggling with homelessness, or drug and alcohol issues for example are made more difficult if they also identify as LGBTQIA+. The issues faced by the LGBTQIA+ community are vast and complex, I have a lot to learn about these experiences but I have started to see how important it is to challenge peoples incorrect ideas and to actively support the community. I have also seen the negative impacts of stereotyping and bullying on this community. )
