Joy has been married to Franz, a lawful permanent resident, for three years. Franz is very controlling and demanding and he threatens her a lot if she doesn't do things just as he wants them. She is not allowed to have any money or friends of her own. He has a green card but refuses to file any papers for Joy. He has hit her twice causing black and blue marks. He has often threatened that if she tells anyone that he is anything but a perfect husband, he will call the police and tell them that she's undocumented and that she will be deported and separated from their children. Could Joy qualify for any form of immigration relief? If so, what type(s) of relief or benefit(s) and why
