Subject international trade law
Hello lawyer. The buyer and I agree to buy and sell 10 tons of beef respectively. Suppliers have the option to ship in March/April. We have informed buyers that 5 tons will be ready at the port in early March. The buyer did not make the necessary shipment arrangements, but informed us later that a vessel would be ready for loading by mid-March. However, we have not been able to confirm this. The buyer then asked us to have all 10 tonnes ready for shipment on March 19-29. We then refused to provide a guarantee, and the buyer regarded our behavior as breach of contract and terminated the contract. Therefore, we claim that the buyer mistakenly failed to accept the goods on or after September 30th. I would like to ask my respected lawyer, has the buyer breached the contract here?
