Question 7 An average stick of butter weighs 113g and has a specific heat of Csolid = 4.05- solid, and Cmelted = 2.04 - g.K , when R.K . when melted. It melts at Tbutter = 34"C. The heat of fusion for butter is Ly = 604 If you got the butter out of the fridge (Ifridge = 5"C) and immediately put it in a heated cast iron pan (just removed from a stove), you observe that the butter melts. You measure its temperature (when it doesn't change anymore) to be T = 42"C. a) Calculate the heat that went into the butter. b) If the cast iron pan weighs 4.2 kg, and Ccast iron = 0.545 g.K. what was the initial temperature of the cast iron pan (ignore any heat loss to anything else)
