Kai was walking down a street to get a takeaway coffee. As she approached a set of traffic lights to cross the road she was texting on her phone and not paying attention to the lights. The traffic light indicated for pedestrians to stop but Kai crossed the road. As she crossed, a cyclist rode straight into her. Both Kai and the cyclist are taken to hospital. The cyclist is not injured but Kai has a fractured wrist, she wants to sue the cyclist for his carelessness.
