Kauri 'The Tree' Tawhai is a professional wrestler on the World Wrestling Federation circuit. Kauri, who was the first New Zealand wrestler to gain a reputation in the United States, has a massive following among children. His 'bad boy' reputation in the wrestling ring was enhanced by his conviction for criminal damage in 2016 when he smashed up the car of one of his rivals. Kauri is resident in Los Angeles, California but frequently visits his whnau in New Zealand.
